The Last Girl on Earth

“You're too delicate,”
I've been told

Forever escaping
into my head

But I beg to disagree
Daydreaming is not a weakness,
It's a superpower.

Care for some tea?

When the world gets too loud
It's time to play
Last girl in the world

No small talk allowed.

Ah, the bliss of lunch for one.

I am my favorite company
But furry friends are always welcome.

When the world gets too mean,
I don't retaliate,
I dream

I can teleport to wide open spaces,
Play hide and seek
with my shadow

Helloooooo

I can read all day
At my own pace

Put on my favorite dress
Like a bulletproof vest

And wear my hinhin with grace

Just me and my familiar

“Wonder Twin powers, activate!”

When the world spins too fast,
I'll step on the brakes
Celebrate the everyday

And find joy in the little things

Carve out my own space
where I can hear myself
think

When I look in the mirror,
Stripped of anyone else's filters,
Do I like what I see?

I wish I'd known sooner
I'm kinder
to everyone else
When I'm kinder
to me

Note to self:
Embrace my hinhin.

“Dance like nobody's watching,” they say
But you know what?
I'm no longer afraid to be seen

My secret world is my superpower

But if you promise to be quiet,

I'll let you in.
